After the Fact

Well, its been a busy start to a busy year that is coming my way. It never fails to amaze me on just how fast time goes bye. We arrived back from Wasilla, Ak , just 3 weeks ago and I already feel like it was a life time ago. I guess that is what happens when you can get to a place in just 5.5 hours and back home again. The fact that I can  be with my family that live thousands a miles away and be home in that short of time is a miracle. We had such a great holiday season in Alaska with our children and grandkids. We spent many days just visiting and playing with the kids. Played a lot of Ticket to Ride, if you don't know what that is , you need to look it up it is a lot of fun. It a board game with cards and trains.

There are some pictures that I want to share from the holidays that I will share on here if I can make it work, I am not that good at this computer stuff but am trying to teach my self how to do it.

Also since it is the beginning of a new year, I have many ideas that I want to post about this year, our little cabin is becoming more and more home. I love the cozy feeling it gives us and we are very content here in the Pines. We have been having enough cool weather that we have a fire in the stove almost every day now. It is nice and makes us feel warm all over ....... and adds to that cabin coziness.

Well I just wanted to check in and add to this blog. Hope all your days are going well and the New Year will bring many a blessing into your life.

Love,
Katrina

It's still Fall right?

This has been a fast year. It has slipped bye without a lot of noise but with a lot of business , we moved here in the Pines about 4 1/2 months ago and honestly I really don't know where the time has flown to, with new grand babies being born and a new calling as Young Women's President , keeping up with Bruce and his work and calling and then trying to get the house settled it has gone bye fast.

Tomorrow will be our 41st anniversary and my 59th birthday, talk about time flying bye, wow I am not sure when I was younger what it meant to be 59 yrs old. But I am so blessed to be married to the love of my life , he has been my best friend , my lover, my supporter, my go to "guy" , my children's father and a wonderful grandfather. He loves us all so very much and has done so much for us all the years. I love him so very very much......I pray that we have another 41 years together and that he will always know how much I adore him.

We have an awesome family , 8 kids ( our in law children are our kids too) , and 12 grandchildren, what gifts they are and angels too and my hero's they teach me so much and the love I have for each one of them goes beyond words.

As I reflect on my 59 years of living, I am reminded of how very blessed I am to have been born into a wonderful family, with brothers and a sister who hold a very special place in my heart. And a mother and father who taught me what it was to be close to The Lord and to be happy with the things we had. I love you mom, and dad who has now passed on . Thank you for a wonderful childhood.

I am thankful to be at my 59th year, although the bones ache and the knees don't work as well as they once did my heart is young and my mind is still alert, I am grateful to my Heavenly Father that He has blessed me to be a part of this wonderful world. And as I enjoy the little Cabin in the Pines I am always reminded what a blessing it is to see the wonders He has set in motion for us to enjoy , just because He loves us.

Life is a joy !
